Yesterday was one of THOSE days:

Staff were late getting in due to the tube strike.

Our Office Supervisor/Receptionist was off sick so I was "Gloria".

A Committee Secretary was off sick so our Chief Executive had to take her place in the meeting.

My assistant got herself locked out in the basement well whilst having a smoke and had to get a strange lady on a bench to ring our doorbell to get me to go down and let her in.

And I had to go down to the kitchen to show someone how to get water in a thermos.
