hi there everyone thanks for yr help me and my puppy are getting on realy well all i need to do now is to get her to recall

yes i know n see gets plenty of exerise n she is starting to lesten to me

Collies are working dogs they need lots of exercise so take it for long walks and tire it out.when you get a dog like those you need to be active and very fit, unless you,re a sheep farmer.**M**/

I bet once her food changes she will.....she's like a child that's been given coca cola at the mo....once you change it.....she'll change too !!!

collies are lovely lovely creatures and devoted in the extreme.

I'm jealous as I'd love to have a crack at another.......just not the right time for us at the mo.

yes i will change her food but rite here i need my sleep cos she had me up this morning at 4 barking at a picture on my wall in the bedroom so thaks for the tips n i will keep every1 updated on here so u all know how we are getting on

It's early days yet .......give her time and the right signals and she'll be the best dog you've ever had. My collies have been superb.....you just need to know how to deal with their llittle quirks.

Change that food though asap.
THAT is your biggest prob at the mo. You'll most likely find the problem is solved once you take her off working feed. xx

thanks muffy sorry to be so dum when it cumes down to puppys i have had dogs for the last 10 years but never a puppy n never a collie n staffys are a complete different breed to any other dog, n bella my puppy is now asleep well watching tv any way as it is almost bed time n i need to finish her training cos at he mo she is not aloud off leed as she does not cum back to me

Any edible oil hon. whatever you use for cooking if necessary.

I use a moulting comb available from any pet shop.

has some long teeth and some short and it kind of rips the dead hair out.xx

wot type of oil should i use n wot type of brush n a soft brush or more of a wire brush

Collies have a habit of moulting badly. Sounds more like a bad moult to me than baldness due to concrete.....they're pretty hardy for stuff like that...... It COULD be she's having a bad moult.........I know my girl is. Try it and see.

They can make themselves bald by pulling out the dead hair themselves.

You have to oil their food and brush them at least 4 times a week to get rid of the dead hair....she'll be fine eventually.

the only thing wrong with the place where i got her from is that she has several patches where she has lay on concrete n theres no fur there n she is underwait if u would like i could send u a picture via msn or yahoo of her, and they did not tell me wot food she was on apart from dry food

Change her food to a blander diet.......crate her for short periods.

I'll put money on her being a different girl in the space of two weeks.

If not......give me a shout.....I'd love another collie lol *joking* OH would shoot me lol xxx
