Then you may want to consider buying a dog crate and putting her in that whilst you are out as long at it is only for short periods.

Sepearation anxiety with rescue dogs is very common and their crate is their own personal space.......add a couple of treats that are only available in the crate and it usually works wonders. xx

recking the house when i nip to the shop n i dont take her cos the local people here can be very nasty towards animals. n yes wagg is a worker dog food set up for dogs that have a worker in them ie sheep dogs n so on n it is a dry food she cant have a gravy as it is bad in her stumack

My advice for what it's worth would be to feed her on a very bland diet.

Lots of pet shops sell chicken and rice dried food and it's great for Collies as long as you add a bit of oil to it so their coats don't dry out......they're very bad moulters in my experience and the oil.......even vegetable oil you use to cook with....works wonders.

You say she's chasing the cats?

That's a collie trait unfortunately.....she's probably trying to *herd* them. Not MUCH you can do about that because it's instinct for her...except train her to be ultra obedient and come away when you tell her.

After a while they soon get bored lol.......I have a real worker here who tries to hypnotise chickens and herd the cats......cats now just laugh at her and chickens ignore her lol.

Throwing a ball takes some of the herding frustration out of her.......I must spend about an hour a day in total doing that.........does she do anything else that's hyper that is giving you cause for concern? xx

i have had her 8 days n she is been feed on wagg n she has 2 hours approx per day walking n im trying to train her at the mo she is a rescue dog, n i keep her busy by the treat type toys where she has to move it around to get the treats out if u know wot i mean

Hi there have you thought about agility for her, borders need lots of exercise my friends do fly ball with theirs and doggie love it.

How often does she get exercised? Collies need a lot of stimulation with them being a clever dog...

I've just re read my post and may have been a bit sharp?.

What you feed a dog has a massive effect on their behaviour in the same way as feeding kids with e numbers does?

Just wondered what your pup was eating as sometimes it can be simply the diet that needs to be changed rather than behaviours.

I have had border collies for a number of years and I think they are a fab breed.
