Gail again.

Have been off work for a few days, and returned yesterday. On my return, I was told that a new directive was in place , following the recent scandal.

All staff, (not just ourselves in the children's club,) have to put cameras, phones, and personal belongings, into a secure locker.

By doing so, my company are further ensuring that no such incident, can occur here. Having spoken to a number of parents about this, they agree, that it is sensible, owing to what has happened. Most do say though, that is sad that through one person's wrong doing, we have all to do our job, differently.

Hi there. This story is close to me, as I am also an Early Years Worker.

Iam sure that this vile, individual, must be the exception to the rule.

In my place of work, we regularly take photos of the children at play, and put them on display. Parents are aware of this, and freely give their consent. The wee ones love to see their photos on display, and eagarly show them off to their parents!......As it should be!

So is this generally harmless practise, which brings positive benefits, to be outlawed because of this unsavoury incident?

I do agree that this individual should be treated severely. So long as others who work in this sector, are not thought of in a similar light.!

Those poor parents must be going through hell,

Yes I would say that females can be paedophiles

This case has been on my mind this morning. Trying to imagine what those parents are going through.

Am I being naive here - are there such things as women paedophiles? Or was she in it for the money - with the photos etc?

I know it's difficult to speculate until we know more ... but I was trying to "slot this into place" 'cos it's bothering me a bit.

Any thoughts?
