Seems if you are older and in reasonable health you should have some immunity, it is younger folk and those with asthma and other illnesses including heart problems and pregnancy that can put you more at risk. |

I think it is officially a reportable illness so you must contact your GP if you think you have it. You might get over it in the first instance but if the second wave hits the virus might then have mutated and will be much worse. |

I know someone who has had swine flu. She and hubby had what seemed like a heavy cold; their two children had coughs with theirs, and the grandparents did not have it at all in spite of being with them all the time on their trip overseas. |

The post has been deleted, Vods, I have pm'd the person... it isn't the first time that she has made this comment, with the ASIAN in capitals... and as half of my nieces and nephews have Asian backgrounds, well, I took a little bit of offence at the comment. It felt like they were being held responsible! |
