That's so lovely.

Lost my best boy a few years back and doesn't it hurt?

Oh that was lovely, and your Lily was the image of my Daisy, a lab cross who had the sweetest nature imaginable, we lost her at the age of almost 12 in May 1998. Her birthday was actually 6th June and we saw her weekly from one day old till we had her at 6 weeks, we knew it was D Day anniversary but called it Daisy day too.

I know they are all romping over Rainbow Bridge together. The song is really good too. Well done, and hope you enjoy your memories of Riley and Lily to help you through missing them both.

I have just finished reading a book "Dewey" about a kitten dumped in the return books bin at a library - adopted by the staff - became famous, and lived to the age of 19.

Much as I love cats and dogs, I didn't think I would like the book, but it drew me in and the tears flowed as I read about the end of his life. I have never been without a pet in my life and would be lost without one. They do become part of the family and should be treated with respect and understanding, as they do leave a lasting impression.
