My car has! It was torched a couple of months ago by a couple of "louts" (is that polite enough for these boards?) along with 4 other cars in the area - there was a picture of the inside with the melted steering wheel etc in the local paper. Does that count?

I was in the 'Hampshire Chronicle' when they started a regular genealogical item. I am pictured studying the original (1842) newspaper report of my g x 6 grandfather, who was allegedly the heaviest man in England!

My children and I are also in a Sussex paper in tudor outfits at the celebration fo Queen Elizabeth 1st's visit to Midhurst.

I wrore a readers letter to Daily Mail some years ago, regarding Prince Rainer, and the Monaco Royal family, how an ancestor who was the pirate Carlos Grimaldi, plundered Southampton, and slew all the people who had sought sanctuary in St Michaels Church. pointing out that Monaco had been founded on the proceeds of goods being stolen from Southampton. The article in the Daily Mail I replied to, asked if there was a curse on the whole Grimaldi family.
They sent a Reporter and Photographer down to see me, and took photographs, also got in touch with the records office at Southampton to find out about the whole story.

So I had a day of glory, my photo, and that of St Micheals Church, appearing with my letter in the Daily Mail.

Three times. First when I was at school, when my fire broke and when a court verdict was given.
That's why I never believe everything that is printed.

My most memorable was taken onstage at a cinema, when I was 11 years old,in a fancy dress parade at the Saturday morning ABC minors.
I'd made myself into a television!..

Covered Mam's weekly grocery box with woodchip wallpaper, cut a screen, added knobs and as a tv set wore it on head. Cut up the wooden greengrocery order box into sticks, nailed them together & carried it as an aerial. lol..

Much to my Sister & Brother' amazement I won a camera as first prize........think the reason I must have won was because there weren't many families who had tv then ( I'd got the idea after seeing one in a shop window)

I've still got the photo. always makes my family laugh seeing my little face in the screen ........ahh innocent pleasures! and it didn't cost me any pocket money :O))

Awww Mac!!

I was in the local paper as a teenager when i was in the school choir.

I've had a letter printed in a magazine, also as a teenager, and when the first Harry Potter film came out, OH booked the local cinema for friends and their children and we all turned up to watch in costume, which got in the papers. Anyone else ever tried walking through a cinema entrance, facing all the locals in evening gear at 5pm? Very intimidating!
