I use comic-sans, don't know if it is one of the most popular though.

I think a few people use Baskerville (serif) sometimes. But quite often Times New Roman is used as a default font for a lot of word processors.

Dear All

I always use courier new font to write letters.

This reminds me of good, old-fashioned typing.

I hate letters that use a mixture of open and closed punctuation.

In fact, I think we should go back to quill and ink!

I am getting very cranky! Ahem!

Best wishes to all.
xx

At work we have to use Garamond for the main text and Gill sans for headings. Apparently this is easier for those with sight problems.

Mac,
So you'll know then how much screen cleaner it takes when using a font with seriphs - especially 12pt or less and using black ink rather than any other colour!

(don't intend to hi-jack this thread, just excited that I've stumbled across a fellow screen printer!)

Interesting to read which fonts are used. I design websites you use different fonts for screen as you do for printing.

Generally for websites Verdana is used, it was specifically designed for screen use. The default is usually set to Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans serif.
I also use century gothic. The default it set to take into account someone may not have the first choice of font installed.

A friend told me that Arial was used for both printed and screen text for those with sight problems, so views change and I will look at Garramond as I do have reading problems.

Times New Roman is boring, but seems still to be the standard for printed use. Unfortunately it tends to be the default for screen use, but is very difficult to read on screen.

Thankyou all, interesting what people use isnt it.

Think I have to go and play around with the fonts and see which I prefer.
