The tattooist would have scared me rigid - what on earth did he look like.
Our youngest son has tattoos and body piercing but nothing like that fella looked like. Words fail me !!! - and that is unusual - lol

I reckon she was possibly high as a kite - or drunk - and didn't know how to explain it to her parents and friends so made up the story:)))

For anyone who is interested in tattoos as body art, you might like to look at the following

www.ten-ten.com.au

Don't think anyone would fall asleep getting any of this done.

What on earth drives a woman(or man come to that) to disfigure themselves deliberately?

ok I go along with body art, but on the face? no way.........

On Yahoo news it said that she is suing the tattooist but the tattooist reckoned all was OK until her dad walked in and saw her face!

Silly girl. What will she look like when she's old and wrinkly. Bleugh!

Well, I can't see how she could have fallen asleep, unless she was high as a kite or on drugs which made her very sleepy.... seems very peculiar, to me... she might have a high pain threshold, but I imagine that she wouldn't have fallen asleep for all of those... and that they took longer to accomplish than the scoffing of one ice-cream!!

I wonder what really happened????

I have seven - the only one that didnt hurt was the dragon on my back and that is only because my body contained the best part of a small brewery at the time...ahhh misspent youth

My ex-husband fell asleep whilst he was having a tattoo on his back. Mind you, he spent most of the 15 years we were together half asleep.

;op

I have a small one on my hip, which I had done when I was 16, and that HURT! My daughter had one recently on her inner arm, she said that it didn't bother her in the slightest, and my sister had a beautiful flower design on her foot - which the tattooist said was one of the most painful places to have one done - and she coped alright.

I think it's down to your own, personal, pain threshhold.

OH has tattoos and I was with him for the last two he had, it is extremely painful, so he tells me and he was cringing too much to fall asleep, and they were on the arms not the face. He had tears rolling down his face near the end, but he said he was not crying, yeah.

Dad must have had a huge ice cream. OH last tat took 3 hours and this would have taken some time to do so well.

Hello Mummo

I wouldn't have thought so either. Especially not when you see how close to her eyes he would've been working....

Someone I know fainted with the pain when they had their tattoo, but I wouldn't say that is the same thing as sleep.

Muffyxx Report 17 Jun 2009 07:26

Is it actually possible to fall asleep whilst your face is being tattoo'd? Never had one so I don't know but I'd can't imagine having a needle in your face is very sleep inducing.......
