I agree Uggers ...you could be far more abusive than you ever are ;) you have a degree of restraint I can only aspire to at times ! xx

but I know what you mean Carla...the really offensive 'personal attack' threads on here do seem to be left to run ,where a 'joke' gets pulled very quickly...

lol at one stage I reported myself for bad language...and it still didn't get pulled till the following day :)

Nope Uggers-It's me sick of double standards.
Like I said before everyone's entitled to their own opinion & if you think I'm whinging thats your perogative.

Uggers

Uggers Report 18 Jun 2009 13:48

I could be far more abusive than I'm ever accused of being. But it's hardly all hell breaking loose, it's just you having a whinge isn't it:)

Eeyore13

Eeyore13 Report 18 Jun 2009 13:44

No it's not the end of the world.

No we don't have to bow to them.

but where are they when all holy hell breaks loose........or do they enjoy reading those more?

& as for the term" Abusive",they obviously don't know the meaning of the word.

Hi Eeyore,
The Essex joke thread I put up the other night was also reported for abuse & deleted by GR. I suppose it was a bit close to the mark. lol

Also a number of others that went up on Monday night were also deleted.

Hey ho.....some people don't like our humour, so we all have to bow to them..........................Or do we? lol
:o)

I find it irritating when my posts get reported and deleted and I had so many the other week it was driving me mad. But then I find it irritating when people keep moaning about having things removed - it was a joke, someone found it offensive and reported it and it's gone. Not the end of the world is it?

Eeyore13

Eeyore13 Report 18 Jun 2009 13:12

nudge-for anyone with a sense of humour.

Eeyore13

Eeyore13 Report 18 Jun 2009 12:30

Whoever found that thread "ABUSIVE" only had to ask & I would've deleted-no question,so no guessing who.

Eeyore13

Eeyore13 Report 18 Jun 2009 12:18

They stated it was,I find many things on here unsuitable & in some cases downright offensive,I just stop reading as I believe in freedom of speech & opinion.Do you recommend in future I report each one?

Kay????

Kay???? Report 18 Jun 2009 12:10

Why would someone be SAD if they found something about the joke they found unsuitable?

GR dont remove threads just because someone objects,GR will only remove if they see it could not be material for a family history site,
GR do look at the boards so it may not even have been a complaint for its removal.?

Eeyore13

Eeyore13 Report 18 Jun 2009 12:03

Just so you all know as it was medically related I presume all medical threads will be removed as they will be deemed "ABUSIVE".I would apologise, however,as with all threads no one was forced to read it.
Under the circumstances I presume it was the same SAD person as before & in future my threads will be "FLUFFY"-OK?
