Thanks for this. i have been away for a few days babysitting my 8 month old grt grandaughter so I may well have got sucked into this one as it would have coincided with around 4 days of inactivity of my account. Whilst i am savvy on the EBay/Pay Pal/Bank scam emails this one may have caught me .

This is the problem you never know some people may not think & just reply to it and it could cause all sorts of hassle!

I had a very similar one yesterday, allegedly from BT Internet, warning me of impending severe restrictions to my service unless I updated my details PDQ. I am not, and never have been, a BT Internet customer.

I know thats what i thought but thinking of the slight risk of the horror i would feel if my blueyonder account was shut down i had to ring and check!!

Not my provider of e-mails but thank you for bringing this to our attention.

If any e-mail asks for details of our personal details you can be assured it is a scam.

Had email supposedly off blueyonder this morning saying due to congestion they were shutting down unused accounts and they wanted my password, username, date of birth & country of birth and i had 24 hours to give it and say if i wished my account to continue or it would be disconnected. Thought it was a scam email but rang blueyonder & checked and it was. Just thought i would let some of you know just in case!!
