If I steam new spuds and put mint in their compartment, will everything else I steam in the other compartments taste of mint too? if so is there any way to just get my spuds tasting minty and still steam cook them? |

I dont use a steamer, so I cant really comment but why not just add a sprig of mint just as the spuds are cooked? you'll get a nice taste and the lovely taste of the spuds won't be overwhealmed! |

Jac I have no idea what these are cos I never saw the label (plot neighbour got 'em and just gave me half in a bag!). but we had some the other day and they were lush :-) |

If you have a metal colander, You could put the potatoes in that and then put it over a pan of boiling water and steam them that way. I have done that very successfully. Oh, and put a lid over the top...... |
