If I had a few spare million, I'd buy back our family property in Qld - actually, I'd buy back ALL of the properties my ancestors owned, but I'd live in the one I grew up in. I've told the family that they're to take my ashes there, so hopefully I'll be "home" one day - in the far, far distant future.

At home in Spain with OH, Never mind I shall be there on Tuesday morning for a few weeks before I come back to finish my work.
There are many places I could settle and enjoy life, Ireland for its beautiful greenery, beaches, friendliness and simply because I feel that I belong there, Florence because I fell in love with it when I first visited nearly 35 years ago, anywhere on the coast or very close to rivers etc,,,,,I really miss the sea maybe because I have lived near the sea for most of my life.

But most of all with OH because he has supported me through so much, he is my best friend, my worst critic, and totally reliable,

That's easy for me to answer Pat.......I would love to live near St. Ives in Cornwall........Sis lives in Carbis Bay and Dad and Mum used to live in Hayle and we have relations living in Redruth.......I have loved Cornwall from when we were small and used to camp at Mevagissey........and Mum & Dad moved down in the 80's.......

I'm happy where I am.
We've moved quite alot since being married, including abroad ( 2 countries) but am happy to stay put now, but with opportunity to travel to visit other places.
A return trip to New Zealand would be great. I really enjoyed last year's visit there.

Sue,
Yes that would be the hardest thing. That's why we didn't go in the end. Hubby is closer to his family that I am to mine.

I wish the UK was closer and I could afford to nip over more often. I wouldn't live anywhere else than Aus. but there are so many people I love and miss in England.

Hi Pat

I like where I'm living, but given a choice, I'd be Barcelona-bound. Funny how you find a place that seems to "fit", isn't it?

Following on from Lynda's thread, Are you happy where you are living or would you like to live elsewhere?

I live in Kent but would love to live in Australia. My husband has family over there and a few years ago we applied to go out there. We were accepted but then my husband decided that he didn't want to go, So we stayed.
I'd go tomorrow if he changes his mind.
