Just to tell you that the half sister was contacted before the funeral, she chose not to attend but at least she had the opportunity thanks to Shirley. She has said she would like to meet up with her younger half siblings some time, so I hope they will all get on well and be able to answer any questions she might have, with the three of them having known their father most recently till his death. |

Shirley, M. is amazed and delighted to have the addresses so quickly, we are both owed one he says, hmmmm ! He is now debating how best to make contact given there is not much time till the funeral next week so thinks he might get his sister on board, but realises time is of the essence. |

Shirley has found her husband's name and I have found her listed with him and two offspring on the 2002-2008 lists but she is missing from the 2009 list. |

I have recently been in touch with a cousin for some copies of photos and by her asking her son to scan them, have been having some interesting email chats with him, he is in his 40s. His father died last week, it was expected as he had been very ill in hospital for months, and last night this lad asked if I knew how he could try and contact his half sister, who he only met once when they were small, she would be in her 50s now. I looked on 192.com and her marriage is listed but of course, I don't have credits so can't get the information, if I could find out her married name I might be able to find her for him and he could let her know about her father. Apparently the mother took her away when they split up before my cousin married him - they later divorced - so he wasn't in touch with her for most of her childhood and beyond. Very sad but the way things seem to go more and more these days. M. wants to try and find her tho so if anyone can help me I would be grateful, her half brother seems a lovely man and we have had fun exchanging info on our family. I only knew about him and never met him before, as he is in Sussex and it's the side of the family we never saw often. |
