Hi,

Can anyone tell me where is the best place to find a copy of a coroners/ inquest report from 1880. My GGGM died in suspicious circumsatances in Bebington in 1880 The inquest was held in late August early September 1880 by a Henry Churton who was coroner for south Cheshire at the time. I have tried the internet but keep coming up with lots of dross not related to what I am looking for.

Thanks in advance for any help

Hi Billy.

I think Coroners Inquest reports are only kept for 7yrs now....So back in the nineteenth century not much luck .

But you could ring the Coroners Office in Bebington and ask !!

Good luck.

Hi
My husbands GG Grandfathers inquest 1859 was in a Manchester newspaper
We used someone we found online to look it up, they, found it in the library in London , they did charge a fee.
