1911 census in Ancestry

This is what it says in my encyclopedia about census returns prior to 1841:

Censuses for 1801 to 1831 were simple headcounts, which were used to produce accurate population figures and trends for the country.

So the simple answer is that there is no census that would be of use to the genealogist prior to 1841.

Depending on where your ancestors lived, you may find manorial records etc going back further than 1841, best to contact the local records office for the area to see what they have, some of them will list their catalogues online. Also you can try searching the National Archives for information.

Good evening.

I contacted Ancestry quite a few weeks ago, as yet still no reply, does anyone know when the 1911 census will be on Ancestry. Also how do I get to view the 1831 census.
