If you have trouble kneeling or bending over, old bath tubs are great for a mini garden.

When the strawberries are growing they look lovely draping over the sides of the tubs, we also pack straw or sugar cane mulch around the plants as they start to flower and it also keeps them fairly clean.

Your post just reminded me Gail......years ago I saw an old roll-top bath in a garden planted up........and it looked lovely..........in these days, when roll-top baths are fashionable., perhaps that would have been half-hinched too.....

Jennifer...animals haven't worked out how to use loos yet or wash their hoofs lol

That's a shame if you wanted to get money for it yourself Gillian......we put out a long radiator for our SiL to pick up on his truck (he's a builder).......but he said he couldn't do it for a week and would have to cut it in half anyway.....

....we put it out in the hope someone would take it away........but no luck....

Some years ago we had a new gas boiler put in, and the old coke fired one was in our front garden, I watched a rag and bone man come in and try and pick it up and get it on his lorry, but it was too heavy for him to lift. I did laugh, but was wishing he could have done it, as we wanted to get rid of it, and had to wait for the central heating installers to have an empty van to cart it away,

When we cleared my Mum's house, we put a rather battered rain butt in the skip - an hour later it was gone - people will take anything

I think you should go check out Puss's place, you know what she is like with baths lol.

Somebody stole my bath. I was going to take it to the scrap yard to get in weighed in as they say, few coppers for the grand children, but while I was at the hospital, somebody nicked it, must have taken two people as it was very heavy, could have left me the taps......
