"............and the stigma of that kind of bad name must be unbearable to a person who is innocent". Well said Berona.

The touchy subject of naming the accused while the accuser is kept secret has been discussed here previously.

It has left us up in the air about him, hasn't it? Like you said - the price of fame.
I keep wondering why there were not MORE accusers?
Paedophiles can't help themselves and with so many children around him, why so few accusing him? I can't help wondering if it wasn't a huge setup to get money from him. He handled it badly by just paying the money to get it out of the way, but what would you do?
He had no normal childhood with his father pushing them and I felt that he was a big kid himself and enjoyed seeing children enjoy themselves.

If I thought he was guilty as accused, I would not want to know anything about him - but there are too many holes in those accusations for me to be convinced - and the stigma of that kind of bad name must be unbearable to a person who is innocent.

Makes me realise what a lovely life I have.
I trudge off to work every day (lucky to have work!)
Earn just enough to live on - but I have my health and genuine friends and family who will let me know if I'm making a fool of myself.
I have my children and grandchildren who expect nothing of me

I think today's Daily Telegraph headline says it all:

"Death by showbusiness for the lonliest man in the world."

I was never a great fan of MJ, though enjoyed some of his music. I think he was robbed and tainted by family and those around him, of a 'normal life'.

I do worry for some of the children we see pushed by the media. What will their adult lives be like, if they are also robbed of a normal, happy and carefree childhood.

As the saying goes, money can't by happiness.

I hope his children go on to have happy lives.

I agree with you Maggie. He seemed to me to be a very sad person who was lacking a childhood as we know a childhood should be. I feel it reflected on his adult life.
It's very sad to die at such a young age. xx

Don't forget he wasn't completely acquitted, he actually settled out of court with millions.

I actually think MK's problems stem from his childhood, what little he had of it, and the way his father treated him. I honestly think he didn't have the chance to grow up because he didnt' really have a childhood to grow up from.

I agree with you too Maggie.................yes he was charged with all sorts of things, but he was found not guilty on all charges.

I think he was surrounded by people he was paying who gave him very bad advice............I feel a huge amount of sympathy for his family and hope they are left alone to grieve in private.

Another great performer MG, he wrote Heard it through the grapevine when he was off his head on choke and thought his wife (Berry Gordy's sister ) was having an affair, when the marriage ended the judge order in the settlement that he must give all the proffit of his next album to his ex, he wrote the worst songs he could think of and the album sold about 7 copies.

I always felt living in the UK would have benefitted him - like it did for Marvin Gaye - okay his dad shot him when he went back - hence staying in the UK would have been a lot healthier for MG!

If Michael Jackson was female the press would of been saying he had an eating disorder. For all his wealth he never seem happy with himself.

MIchael Jacson died aged 50 - two years younger than me. He was, apparently, very frail and addicted to/ taking painkillers.
What I find so sad about his death was his life.
Whatever he did was reported (the 'price' of fame) and commented on. I also feel he was taken advantage of.

Who advised him about his plastic surgery?
What plastic surgeon worth his salt would happily turn a good looking young man into the ugly 'being' MJ turned out to be. Where were the ethics?
I feel so sorry for MJ, his plastic surgery was like a very public display of wealthy self mutilation.
Where were his friends and family when he did this?
I feel he was surrounded by sycophants whose only interest was their pay.
