Thanks again Adam.

Had to uninstall everything Adobe and reinstall it, but now have a full toolbar on the records views and the Adobe pdf save is there now.

Most grateful for your suggestion.

Thanks Adam,

There is the drop down menu, but it doesn't include pdf only 3 web page options and a text.
I will try reinstalling adobe as you suggest.

When you save,& the save box comes up,have you tried changing the filename to end with .pdf ?
There should be a drop down menu which says save as type which should include adobe pdf files.
Usually when you go to view a pdf online it would tell you if there are any missing plugins.
I have just noticed today there is a new thing on the records pages to attach the record to a relative in your tree, might explain the viewing other trees problems, but I am still able to save in PDF.
In case the adobe reader installation has become damaged or something,go to this page
http://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/otherversions/
And select your o/s (XP,Vista or 7)
And language & download & install the latest version & see if that does the trick.
Hope this helps.

Until recently I had no problem saving record views as PDF.( Adobe) format.
I now cannot do this and files can only be saved as web pages which will not open unles I am logged on to GR.
Can anyone tell me what might be wrong.
I have Adobe9.1.2 free version, no plug ins.
I recently installed Explorer 8, but cannot say if this was the time this started to happen.
Any help would be appreciated as I am not a computer expert.
