what side of bed do you sleep on?

I have a double bed all to myself (give or take a cat or two).
I sleep on the right - furthest from the door. George sleeps at the bottom, towards the left (to avoid kicks) and Mr Miu sleeps on the left, where the pillow would be if I hadn't half inched it!
Betty sleeps where Betty wants - but she never sleeps in my bedroom - her choice!

The side which is nearest to the door so if I need to go to the loo it is easier for me, as I am going blind and would fall over things left at bottom of bed in the dark.

I hadn't thought about it until now.

For years (too many to count) I slept on the right but since we moved here just over two years ago I have slept on the left.

Don't ask why because I don't know.

Well that's easy - I sleep on MY side - usually the left, easiest exit during the night.

I sleep on the left, but I think it's not the side of the bed that matters I prefer the side furthest from the door. Maybe I'm hoping OH would protect me in a crisis! Knowing him, he'd probably stay asleep while the burglars tried to find my jewellery box!

We're the same as you.

And like Fiona, for that matter, when away from home.

What is it about women and loos?

Fiona

Fiona Report 28 Jun 2009 15:53

I sleep on the right side at home, but if I am away I sleep on the side nearest to the loo,

I have to say I do like the bed to myself now and again,so I can sleep which side or the middle or which ever way I want. When my son is a Uni,I sometimes will take my pillows and sleep in his bed for a night. It is BLISS.

I sleep on the right and sometimes when we are on holiday I have to have a good think when i find I am on the "wrong" side.
A couple of years ago I thought I had it correct but in the early hours I rolled over and fell off the bed and was wedged between the bed and wall. OH thought he was being helpful when he asked what i was "doing" I replied ,rather wasply, I thought I would take a look at the floor!!.
