iT HAS been on Sky news this morning that 200,000 or so 20pence coins that have been minted and go on the market to-day have not got the year of print on them and if you get one you can bring them to the Central Bank and they will give you 50pounds for each one.

Strange, if they know and they go on the market today why can't they stop them? maybe they are already mixed in with the remainder. But why would they give £50? We will all be searching for them now!!!

The error occurred amid the production of a newly-designed 20p piece.

The mint has issued a recall to both remove the coins from circulation and keep track of them.

Lucky owners are asked to register their details at www.undated20p.com and then post the dateless coin(s) back.

Alternatively, those looking to keep their new-found collectable can register and request a presentation box.

Hi Ann in Glos, thank you for the update, i only heard it when it came on the news earlier this morning.
I think that i would prefer to bring it in than post it though.
