I got my boy back at 4.30 yesterday, feeling sorry for his self and looking a bit worse for ware( they shaved round the ears and he had a large lions head so now looks totally out of proportion but i still love him to bits)

glad i was sitting down when the vet phoned so i didn't have far to fall when he told me the bill lol

thanks everyone for the support xx

Hi Marion

yes he will have the plastic "lampshade" good thing too as it will stop one of the girls from licking him as well, she thinks it her job to look after the rest and licks him to death giving him a good wash that's part of the reason his ear is infected in the first place.

Will he have a lovely 'lampshade' on his neck when he gets back? lol

thanks upfront & moonchild

The wee man will feel a hundred times better when he comes home it just the waiting the other dogs are looking for him as well .
it's one of the reasons I'm on here to stop me clock watching. I do smile when i think how he will manage with the plastic collar on when he comes home, i remember 1 of the older dogs having one fitted after an op and it took her about 6 attempts to get through the door.

At this moment I'm on tender hooks waiting for the phone to ring!

the reason my wee baby ( 4 leg type not 2) is in the vets getting a procedure done on his ears they are giving him a general anaesthetic and its always a worry when you sign that consent form i know he is a fit dog and i trust my vets but i just wish the phone would ring
