Michael Jackson fans who paid in advance for the singer's UK concerts have been offered their money back or a souvenir ticket as an alternative.
Promoter AEG Live said the tickets feature graphics "inspired and designed" by the music legend, who died at the age of 50 on Thursday.
An estimated 800,000 people paid £50-£75 to watch the star perform 50 concerts at London's 02 arena.
The company will not be printing any further tickets as collectables.

Now the point is, these tickets are unique, they have those moving pictures on them, remember the ones we used to have as kids? It's those, showing MJ in some of his dance moves.

Keeping them and selling them on Ebay could prove lucrative, or to keep them as a momento, or just send them back, get your money back, and leave the ticket sales company sell them on ebay instead?

The profits from selling them could be used to give to charity, especially one that MJ would/did support, so it's not a matter of greed.

Personally, I would hold onto them, frame them or something and leave them to my kids. By then they could be worth a small fortune.

OH and I had already decided on a contigency plan if the concert didn't go ahead...........although we didn't think death would be the reason!

We paid £75 + £9 booking fee each for the tickets. We will still stay in the hotel, but will go and see the West End show Thriller live instead.

id want my money back cos id probably only lose the ticket over time and its just a little bit of paper to a gig that will never go on at the end of the day.

hi seemingly they are saying if you have the first ticket sold it could fetch about 20 thousand i would keep the ticket myself part of my history grew up with his music

How many tickets were actually sold.? Over 50 concerts I'd say there were more than just a few thousand floating about.

It isn't like they are going to be particularly rare xx

Muffy I was going to say, with that number of tickets sold they are not going to be particularly collectible unless you are a real fan and already have a collection of MJ memorabilia.

That's what they said on the news this morning Ann and Muffy.

The said, because they are not merely paper tickets, they have those hologram type pictures on them that move when you move it, they are a little bit special. It covers the whole of one side of the ticket, the printed information is actually on the reverse.

As there are millions of fans, globally, not all will have been lucky enough to have got a ticket, in spite of the number planned, so yes I think they will be collectible. You just watch on Ebay in the next few days.

Edit to add: The ticket prices range from £75 for the cheapest to up to £800 for the corporate ones. Now THEY are the ones that will no doubt be sold at a high price.

I saw those tickets on the news Secret......and I thought that if I had any I would keep them because of the hologram thingy.......it looked so good.....

They must surely become collectors items for the future.....

Would you still go if it were a 'memorial concert' all paying tribute featuring jackson music on large screen tv, candle lights, maybe having his family/sisters perform. plenty of souveniers etc - Just an idea.

I would ask for my money back because my husband would probably give the tickets to someone anyway. We were given for tickets with backstage passes for a Robbie Williams concert about 10 years ago. Unfortunately we were unable to go but I kept hold of the tickets Was looking for them last year and he informed me that he had given them away. Errr... why?

Just to add.... I would never have bought tickets for a MJ concert anyway. Sorry folks I didn't like him but admit that he was a great showman
