was thinkin with the weather being so hot
what did u do when litttle in weather like this

we used to pack the mini bus with me brother and our friends and famly and go the river with the canoe's and the inside inner tubesof bus tyres, frisbees and ball with a picnic and usually three or four more cars following with mam n dads freinds and there children following to croft river

we wld we each just pile the picnic stuff we had brought in the middle and spend the full day just having fun

what did u get up to?

We used to be out playing all the time, making dens in the woods at the back of the house, making potions with mud, flowers, grass cos me and my best mate wanted to be witches haha, playing whatever sport was on telly in the street then standing in front of our garden at night for my mum to hose all us kids down to cool us off, which also ended in one of us nicking the hose of her and soaking her lol Then as I got a bit older we used to go work on a local farm to get a bit of money even though it was hard work we all did love doing it especially knowing we could go on a splurge in town after lol

It was a small community so all the kids used to play together all summer was brilliant fun always something to do.

Summer holidays from school lasted forever then .......lol

A pack of us on our bike roving around the area . Making " huts " ( same as Jax ) and perfume from flowers petals : ))

One year the shout went up that a local pond was being bull dozed to make way for houses . A band of us kids cycled like mad things to the building site and swooped to rescue all the frogs we could find.We had them in our saddle bags and buckets........lol.....we lived about a mile away from the pond , so I don't know where we expected the poor frogs to set up a new home.
Various sets of parents weren't to impressed to find hopping frogs all over the place.....lol

haha jax i use to make perfume out of rose pettal stolen out the garden and try and sell them to people passing lol

With Mum and Dad at work, when we were 4 and 8, my Sis and I were taken care of by our next door neighbour with two boys........like Jax we roamed free with other kids and built camps and swings and such.......I do remember though, that when we went out with Aunty K..... she used to chat a lot, and we would be hanging about in the heat, and very thirsty......

Later on, when we moved, it was up to me to take care of my Sis and do housework and stuff........perhaps that is why I am a little lax when it comes to housework now.......prefer to enjoy my time doing other things....

I remember my Dad taking my friend Rosemary and me to the beach for the day,it was a scorcher.Rosemary got sunstroke and threw up all over the car on the way home LOL.
