if they cant use their common sense theres really No hope for us is there!
Im really disgusted!

Two police dogs have died in a hot vehicle parked outside the headquarters of Nottinghamshire Police.

An RSPCA officer was called to the Sherwood Lodge headquarters in Arnold on Tuesday and found two German shepherd dogs dead.

An independent vet is carrying out post-mortem tests to establish how the animals died.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) said the force should investigate the deaths with the RSPCA

It's shocking that this should happen. Wheres their common sense for god sake?

Cant remember where it was but there was a case where the police had locked up a stray.....and forgot about it.

4 Dogs have also died in Scotland I know of, two in one car and another two in seperate cars.

I would never leave a dog in a car, in fact, I wouldn't even contemplate taking my dog out in the car in this heat. Have got all on breathing for my self even with a puffer, so what chance does a dog have. OH is chasing around to get another fan, because he has the one we have got 'trained' on our dog, while we melt.
They will get away with it, you know.

I saw a headline on the local paper Rox and I was truly appalled! if the guilty culprits dont get prosecuted by the RSPCA then I shall be madder than a wet hen!

What a bloody example to set eh? and I thought that police handlers really loved their animals.

Disgusted (and ashamed) of Nottingham

Apparently the IPPC have decided not to investigate the matter, but have handed the matter to the RSPCA to deal with.

The dogs were not in a police car, but a private car.

I'm blooming fuming about this.
