Gillian, just think how far you have all come towards your goal of knowing the unknown. Please try to stay strong and positive to get yourself and your family over this next hurdle - maybe one day these kind of genes will be eradicated but not without the help of brave folk like yourself and your family.
Good luck

Not brave or strong, its just a fact of life, we have this silent killer stalking us and we must beat it. I feel for my children, they are having this awful test to protect their children and future grandchildren. I have four children and with the odds being 50-50 I find myself thinking who could cope with this, and I cannot find an answer. I cannot imagine any of them going through even more, they have shared the past 3 1/2 years with me wondering and worrying on top of coping with losing their brother, now we fear for their children. Thank you for your support and kindness. XX..

I do it for one reason and one reason only, my grandchildren deserve to know if they have a silent killer hanging over them, if they have it, before they have children, something can be done to stop it being passed on to their children.

well, I have certainly got the Bragada gene in my blood, probably inactive, possible could asctivate, Doc could not believe we had been there three years ago and they missed the signs in Morris. What is boils down to is we all have to go in and have the awful test where they fill our bodies with chemicals to all but stop the heart, and then we will know. All four of us will hopefully be in together as day patients, not nice. The doctor also promised to relook at the tissues from Stephen that we left to medical science and then try and give me a definite cause of death. Morris has had a dna test, but takes three months to complete, he was not prepared to wait for that, he said we had been through hell and back for long enough, he wants us to have the tests pronto. All three of my kids have agreed to have it as long as I do, so now just a case of waiting.
