Had to laugh!

OH is at Wimbledon today. He rang about 20 mins ago. Just arrived and almost as soon as they got there (coach party) it started raining. He was sitting on Henman Hill digging his anorak out when he called! It didn't help when I told him how lovely and sunny it is down here!

Am I cruel? Oh yes.

I love playing but cannot stand watching.....so I am nuts!

Golf I love playing and golf I love watching...but tennis...no way!.

I love football but cannot stand motor racing ( Vice versa with Oh which doesn't go down too well in the household )

I loved playing tennis when I was younger but have never been interested in watching it. It seems so repetitious. Same old way of drawing the opponent into a certain position, then slamming one in the opposite direction.

But, I'm the same with any sport - I either want to get in there and play it with them, or not interested - and I'm too old to play anything now, anyway!

Dear All

Hello,

I LOVE football!

I like the big tournaments of the World Cup
and Euro Championships.

During the football season, I remain neutral for supporting a team as everyone in my family likes different ones!

Someone has to restore order!

I remember when Jimmy Connors played.
Now, he was very good.

The Wimbeldon mixed doubles matches are more relaxed
and played more skilfully, so enjoyable to watch.

I don't like cricket or golf. I don't understand the rules and the pace of the sport is too slow.

Best wishes to all.
xx

I don't watch sport of any description, find it boring to say the least. Hubby likes most sport though so I have an excuse to come on here.

Must admit that when we had a pub in North Wales I got quite interested in rugby. Even watched it when not working. Can even now be known to watch the big matches but hate to admit it.

I'm not that keen Rox: I dont mind if it's a nice fit healthy young man with good legs and a tight bum - preferably clean shaven, tanned and with no sweat stains on his t-shirt - but apart from that I can take it or leave it)))))))

The ladies final is just so predictable - one or other of them will win - lol who's turn is it to win this year? I reckon they toss a coin to see who's to get to dance with the winner of the male title at the Ball.

I didnt actually realise until reading this thread that Andy Murray had lost his match, that's how interested I am in it!
Sad he's been knocked out, but hey why change the habits of what seems to be many life-times in British tennis?

I really hate to watch all of it..... did watch and enjoy netball a few years ago, but they don't seem to have it on any more... but then, I understand that... and no bally offside rule, lol!

Tennis - bleugh.

My OH loves it though. Plays it 2/3 times per week, watches it (if I'm in the room he will turn the sound down because I can't cope with all that grunting!).

He's off to Wimbledon tomorrow - which is great. He'll be happy and I will spend the day dossing around - preferably out in the sun!
