THE BODY OF A WOMAN WHO LIVED ALONE HAS BEEN FOUND IN HER FLAT IN EDINBURGH.

ISABELLA PURVES, WHO WOULD HAVE BEEN 90YRS OF AGE THIS YEAR, MAY HAVE LAIN DEAD FOR UP TO FIVE YEARS.

NO-ONE KNEW ?????? AS HER PENSION WAS PAID INTO HER BANK ACCOUNT, AND HER BILLS WERE PAID USING THAT MONEY.
A NEIGHBOUR REPORTED WATER COMING THROUGH A CEILING.
IT WOULD APPEAR SHE WAS A VICTIM OF THE 21ST CENTURY TECHNOLOGY, AS SHE NEVER NEEDED TO GO TO THE BANK.
POLICE COULD ESTIMATE HOW LONG SHE HAD LAIN DEAD, BY THE USE- BY DATES OF FOOD IN HER FRIDGE, AND THE LARGE VOLUME OF MAIL WHICH HAD BEEN DELIVERED.
IT WOULD APPEAR SHE HAD NO FAMILY.

I was reading about this earlier. This happens far too often Vicky, a sad sign of the times when people don't interfere or can't be bothered to ask about another person.
