I am 56 (aaargh) and always bit my nails. Gave up in 1982 because I was getting married again and wanted them to look good for the photos. Lasted until 2000 when the business we had was going belly up.

Gave up again in 2003 when things eased up financially. Lasted until last summer when hubby lost his job due to the recession..... sadly still at it.

Invest in a pair of gloves for times of stress.

Most of all.... enjoy your achievement. It is just as big as giving up cigs.
