I've just had a phone call from Dutch who asked me to put this up for her. |

I can't believe that they are unable to help her but, as we probably don't know the full details (i.e. why she has a Stoma) It is difficult to judge. |

Thanks Ann couldn't think of the name. Val has bowel cancer, and Joyce doesn't know why, they just said they can't do it. |

Val is back from hospital now but no nearer an answer. Three months ago she went when it was small, they told her to come back in three months, when she went back they said it was too risky to operate. The doctor today at different hospital said the same about it being too risky, and she had to live with it or words to that effect. Seemingly the hernia starts behind the stoma and it is pushing the bag which I thought would be more dangerous if it dislodges it. |

Poor Val, I know Dutch has been worried about her for some time now and this is making things harder for her to cope with. There must be something that could be done to make her more comfortable. |

Oh dear she must be so uncomfortable. I wonder if the bag is permanent. sometimes they reverse it if the cancer is cured, not knowing how bad Val's cancer is or what op she had for it, it is difficult to tell. Maybe it is a case of putting up with the hernia until the stoma is reversed. |
