General Chat

The last thing I want to do is spoil anybodies fun, but I am finding that I log on to chat and see thread after thread of FarmTown. It's getting as bad as general with A-Z's, so I am begining to switch off and stay away much more.
I understand that FB doesn't have a community board and so many of you have farms. I also will say that I find a lot of the comments between you all funny ........

but can we please limit the number of threads on a page

Look on the bright side,there could be an A-Z of things on their farms lol.

I know there are other threads and to be honest I realise how much easier it is to start an new thread when it's something you want to get attention on and not lost in pages and pages of posts.

I see your point Uzzi and I will remove my thread as its a load of old bumpkum however has some of us have been told to stay away from others and their threads if that group of peeps did not have their own threads they would have no where to post ~ if this offends I will remove x

Lynda I didn't realise that about FB but I am not objecting to it being discussed or laughed about on here just the amount of threads that were up at 1 time

No you weren't Uzzi you are entitled to your opinion, and if GR would only give us a board for quizzes, games etc it wouldn't happen. However i suspect there would then be fewer people than ever on chat and general. too many threads on any subject can be a bit much.

I'm fed up with seeing this board as an extension of FB. Which probably makes me a grumpy old moo, but I don't care...;-))

Shelia your not a grumpy old moo. I don't really mind FB being brought on here after all it's a way of life the same as meets are discussed so is FB.
We don't all go to the meets but it's lovely to read about them farm town is in away a cyber type of meet. Like meets tho' I wish they would limit the threads

think these games are a bit like marmite you either love them or hate them

and yes we could keep it to FB but then other GR members who are not friends on FB wouldnt be able to link up which I think the initial thread has done

so although I do see your point about too many threads on one subject being added I see no harm in talking about the farm games on here if people are not interested in the games ignore the threads easy really :o)

Jax I agree with what you are saying about the link up for GR to FB. I have said that somewhere. I don't think it's wrong to chat about it at all ...it may even encourage shy people to join in and save them being alone.
Yes there are now MORE threads about Farmtown but the extra ones added do allow for non farmers to join in on a discussion. As you say if not interested don't read. If there is nothing there then the answer is !!!!
