I use my mobile as an alarm clock. There are three alarm settings that go off at fifteen minute intervals. The alarm sound is the crazy frog

I've got a radio alarm clock that wakes me up to Radio 4.
I'm usually half awake when it goes off - then I start arguing with it and am soon fully awake!!!

Some interesting replies.

I only remember using an alarm clock about twice in my life, ...to catch early planes.
We haven't used one in years, even when OH worked in London and we got up about 5am.

At present, rather like Alice, we have a natural alarm clock.
The seagulls wake as soon as it's light, and sometimes before that.
They're so noisy!

Used a radio alarm when I worked but, unless catching an early flight I never use one nowadays. OH sometimes sets his when he is playing golf but he usually turns it off before it goes off.

Winter Drawers Ever Near Report 7 Jul 2009 21:49

I'm up at 4.30 every morning and although I usually wake up I get worried that I will over sleep.

If I am late arriving to get my peeps out of bed they start thinking that something has happened to me, so I use my mobile alarm and I also have a clock radio just in case.

Ann
What bliss to be 'in charge' of time instead of being governed by it.

Why do they insist on bringing in presents for us?
I've recently returned from looking after my sister's 4 cats and within 15 minutes of me arriving there, I was shooing out a cat who was playing 'catch' with a still alive mouse.
Animals certainly do their best to get us up when THEY want to, ..Lol

I know just what you mean about them worrying.
My late Mum used to fret that her carer had had an accident.
Getting up early at this time of year is great, ...a sort of bonus part to the day.
I'm not quite so keen in winter !
