My daughter was born in Hong Kong while I was serving with the Royal Navy. I registered her birth at the British Consulate and obtained a birth certificate. I would have thought that this info would have been conveyed back to the UK and would be enter into the BDM records of the GRO but I cannot find anything on a search. Does anyone know why this should be?
