Hi Roxanne.....TW is right about the + or - sign.

CD & DVDs come in formats such as

DVD-R.................(R = write once, RW = re- write able)
DVD-RW
DVD+R
DVD+RW

CD-R
CD-RW
CD+R
CD+RW

Your driver will only read or write certain types. Often it can read a number of these variations. But only write to a few.

Im glad its not just me.
It was working fine a while back and now for some reason it wont, hopefully someone can tell us where were going wrong:-)

Let me know if you get an answer, because I've had the same trouble.

Mine has a DVD/CD-R/W drive, and it's fine, so why wont' it burn to CD - R/W or CD + R/W or the DVD equivalent? The only think it work on is CD-R
(the plus + or minus - is important apparently)

Right,I dont know if its me or if its my C.D/D.V.D ,perhaps someone can tell me.
I have done a check and the message coming back is that my C.D/ D.V.D drives are fine.

I cant Rip my C.Ds to save them to my playlist,for some reason it just isnt happening,any Ideas?
