I got there first Maz.!

And I have good sharp elbows to prevents anyone trying to push past me.

Anyway I reckon that Iwan is my long lost cousin, even if I have to concoct my tree to prove it!

Maz - there is a recipe for Iwan's Chilli Burgers in the August edition of the Good Food Mag, near the back. You could try making them, and pretend he has made them just for you, at an evening at his place!!!!!

it looks to me as if they judged it on the last 3 course meal and nowt else - the other 2 hadn't cooked perfect mains, so that's why she got it. I think though that if they had judged on the whole week, and if Iwan's veg had been cooked properly, he would have won. I was disappointed too! her starter was basically the one she cooked in the restaurant in the semis or quarters, with the little apple sticks on top.

* pushes theresa out of the way * no-one but ME will be eating at Iwan's ;-))

Maz - Thanks for your suggestions re the recipes from this programme. Sorry to say, yes I did think that Jane would win. It was hard to choose between Wendi and Iwan, so it was easier for the judges to play safe and pick Jane. I said this to OH at the beginning of last nights programme. Just my opinion, that's all

I didn't see it coming either. Thought that Wendi had won.
However Jayne was the only one that had meat in their menu.
I think that if I went out to dinner (unless I was in a veggie mood) I would have chosen meat in either starter or mains.

They all did well and should be proud of themselves.
I still fancy going round to Iwan's for dinner>
Anyone want to cme with me?

I did not see that result coming either. A bit surprised as she did not handle the pressure very well.

But the decision must have been very difficult.

I dont think she should have won.

Maz yes, I enjoy hearty food. It can be healthy eating too.

I have warned people not to phone while the final is on.
I won't be answering the phone anyway.

Theresa that did look good hearty food didn't it? I prefer that to the so-called 'fine-dining' of 1 mouthful of meat and 3 peas :-)

Elaine I don't think that Jayne has such low self-confidence when doing something new. however she did say she would be so much better tonight in her comfort zone.

Julia, you could always catch up on cookery progs on the i-player :-) - or save up and invest in Sky where there's a 24 hour cookery channel!

Hi Julia, can't find any recipes from this series but if you go here

http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/

and go to the BBC Food Recipe Search box and type in celebrity masterchef, then 4 come up from previous series. maybe there is something on one of the forums here

http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/mbfood/

or someone there may be able to help.

also if you go to amazon and search books for masterchef then there are a few there that might be good - may even be some on e-bay!

We, also like this programme very much. We only can into it part way through, but have seen Iwen come on leaps and bounds. It is going to be a very tight finish tonight. I put up a post yesterday about how I can access the recipes from this programme, but only got one reply.
When this programme finishes tonight, I will be sorely bereft of any descent cookery programmes as I don't have time to watch in the day or Saturday mornings. Oh woe is me.
Anyway, good luck to all the contestants for tonight, may the best cook win.

Either Wendi or Iwan do it for me, I think Jayne crumbles more than the others (pardon the pun)

BTW who else thinks one of the judges (forgot who is who) needs a good poking to keep him awake as he looks so tired all the time LOL !

I shall be watching tomorrow too.
A very close thing at the moment.
I would have loved to have eaten the food they cooked in Morocco. It all looked so good.

I think that the choice of menu may play an important part in the result, as well as timing, taste and presentation.

Slightly biased towards Iwan as I enjoy Athletics, so probably know of him more than the other two. (and I have Thomas genes!)

I thought that too Maureen, although I've had a soft spot for him all through :-)

Hazel I agree, very close and depends I think on how calm they can stay on the final day - both girls have wobbled a bit this week, especially Jayne, so they really need to get back on track.

I first of all thought that Wendi would win but Iwan is improving so fast that he might edge it.

Not taken to Jayne at all.

Anyone else following this? Who do you want to win? Who do expect to win? I really hope Iwan can do it - he was fab tonight, and he's nice to look at too ;-)) However, I think either of the girls could win, if they can hold it together for the final cooking. Looking forward to watching it tomorrow night.
