Winter Drawers Ever Near

Winter Drawers Ever Near Report 9 Jul 2009 23:33

Bought my granddaughter a dolls house for her 5th birthday today with all the furniture.

Got it over to her house while she was at school and my daughter and I were cutting up the wrapping paper to disguise it.

Sat back and were having a cup of tea when suddenly the paper started moving around the house and low and behold.....

Their 11 week old kitten had managed to slip in through either a window or the front door and we had wrapped her up!

Just as well I had about 12 metres of paper. We had to start all over again!

What is it about the animals in our family. They are just as nutty as us.

LOL Aileen - must be something about cats and dolls houses - mine love my houses. It really holds me up, as they're now 3 years old and it's very difficult to lever them out - they take up the whole room!

I'm sure your grand daughter (and kitty) will thoroughly enjoy the house!

Hi Maggie,

I have two dolls houses in my front room which I am building and every time I let the budgies out they head straight for them.

Quite funny to watch them. Had one sitting in one of the rooms on a settee and it looked like it was watching the telly!

Just haven't got the time to devote to finishing one of them off for her so bought one instead which she is over the moon with.

When I retire I might eventually get at least one of them ready for her 21st birthday but don't hold your breath.

Shame you didn't catch it on camera, Aileen, you could have got it on one of those programmes about pets lol

Glad little one liked the dolls house and will help you do yours as she gets older lol
