i was only 5 yrs old when the war ended but i can remember standing in the back garden of my aunties in east ham throwing stones at them fockers as they flew over.the RAF get all the credit but i know i brought more down than they did.
as running bear said those were the days

Dear All

During the Battle of Britain, our young pilots were outnumbered.

They worked relentlessly by going back up in the planes to fight of the
Nazi Forces.

If this battle had been lost, our country would have been invaded and
it can only be imagined what life would be like.

To thank and remember all those who defended us at this time.
