Well it is now 3 years on dad
and yes I still talk to you
I still hug your photo
and hide in corner blue

I know it's only my thoughts
on the anniversary of your death
but did I feel a movement
not a sigh just a breath

I remember that you once said
on the subject growing old
That when I had my own kids
different stories would be told

I remember of your heartache
when they said no kids will be
when you realised that you had
an eternal child in me.

Maybe cos I am the eternal child
I hold your memory tight
but I know it is only you
that makes me cry tonight

I'll shed my silent tears alone
for the loss of a dad I love
I will light a silent candle
for you some where above

Without being over sloppy
god forbid that I would do that
after all I'm me fathers daughter
Yorkie strong and all bull and bat

I miss you now as I did then
but we knew you had to go
you couldn't hide the pain no more
it was time, close the curtains, your show.

Time once again to say goodnight
my biggest hugs for you
I hold you dear in memory
A Dad through and through





Dad I miss you each and every day and I hope your pain is at rest.
