2 hours of sitting around not what i had planned for today but never mind.
She helps out at stables on a sunday and has a lesson but horse she was on decided didnt like having someone get on him so he bucked her off.

After checking her they got another horse for her and she managed 10mins beofre she was in to much pain and asked to get off.

Thankfully nothing broken, she was woried about her collar bone as its the side she broke before, but is badly bruised on shoulder, ribs and hip. Shes had a soak in bath and is just resting now but can imagine how sore she will be tomorrow.

That is why she'll need to get back on him, and show him who's boss.... if she feels a bit unsure, an instructor will almost certainly hold his bridle for her... she just needs to do that, or skittish horses will always cause her to be wary!! They know, you know!!

Good luck to her, anyway, bless her. I took many a tumble in my day, lol... I often sailed over the little jumps without benefit of my current geegee!!

I'd need a carthorse these days....... I did ride one once, when I was about 13.... that was truly an experience... a bit like riding a mountain!!

that made me giggle,

someone was holding his bridle but he must of got spooked, hes had a shoulder injury in past and only confident riders are allowed on him but he obviously wasnt in the mood today, typical man eh.

Aw poor thing.... he'll need some tlc as well!! As long as your eldest is ok, that's the main thing.

You should have seen me... perched up there like a pea on an elephant's hide, lol...

Oh.... were you talking about me sailing over the jumps????? I hated those cavaletti (sp) things.... one of my regular mounts used to take great delight in stalling at the last minute... then having the cheek, once I was firmly deposited on the far side of said jump, to come up and nuzzle my jodhpur pocket for the pony nuts I always kept in there, lol Like she was a clever girl, or something!! I loved her, skittish mare that she was, lol I used to be told if I could catch her, I could ride her, after we had finished the mucking out and grooming of all the others.

She bit my bum once... not hard, but I learnt not to wave my derriere near her gnashers, lol.........

*sigh* those were the days... so much nostalgia going on the threads today!!

Love

Hi Dawn, hope your daughter soon gets over this and can feel confident next time she rides. Have you any arnica as it will bring the bruising out and heals it faster, so long as there is no broken skin it will work well.

Take care, never a dull moment in your household eh?
