Must be a flash tent, in that it has a wardrobe.

My cousin's lad adored his kindergarten teacher so much that he objected to this little girl talking to her and cuddling her. So he wacked the child and he was banned for a fortnight from Kindergarten. He is grown up now with children of his own.

I am off to bed, we have another early morning tomorrow. It is the annual maintenance day at the cinema/ \we have to be there for nine. Some of the volunteers turn up to do jobs. The men do manly things and the women clean :-(

I usually work like a Trojan, but will be taking it easy tomorrow.

How cute Tec :-)

I always leave an umbrella behind :-D

We're going to the markets in another town this morning. The last thing I need is more plants or pots but one never knows what one will find ;-)

I was madly in love with my first teacher...........I was four :-D

You left your umbrella as well, so you are all set up

Thank you Linda - I left my slippers for that very reason ;-)

We had a science teacher who appeared to be madly in love with our sewing teacher. If she walked past the classroom he would stop whatever he was doing and rush out after her. We always laughed because she would look very embarrassed.

We had a very strange science master.

The classrooms were arranged around cloisters, planted with flowers and shrubs.
If the master spotted a butterfly outside, he would rush to a cupboard for his butterfly net and run into the cloisters to catch it to pin to a board.

He would sometimes be gone for most of the lesson - we didn't mind :-D

I will have the bedroom repainted blue before you come back Sue. I know you are coming back because you left your slippers in the wardrobe :-)

My bedroom faces South, so gets the afternoon sun as well, I think blue will be right for that room.

I have my eye on a nice picture for the wall. It's just a simple picture of an avenue of silver birch trees. Rather expensive, but I like it :-)

I remember that we had to tie our hair up at school. If you wore it loose you would be sent to the girls' supervisor who would give tou horrible things like hair nets to tidy up your hair. You didn't wear it loose again.

Our bedroom is painted blue. We did this because the room gets very warm in the afternoon sun - the blue seems to make the room seem cooler. Apart from that blue is my favorite colour :-)

Good Morning Sue, :-)

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 17 Oct 2014 22:33

Oh good Linda - then I can go ahead and buy the paint :-D

Persie, some events at school remain in ones mind forever :-D

I remember once being sent with another boy to take some books to the Principals study.
We left the books outside as he wasn't there.
Our school was such that we shared the hall with the girls grammar school, boys school on one side, girls on the other.
We could hear the piano playing during the girls dancing lesson.
Tempted to spy on the girls through gaps in the curtains like a pair of perverts, we were caught by the Principal.

As punishment he instructed us to present ourselves in our gym attire at next weeks girls dancing lesson (us being so interested)
We duly attended, and were made to dance with the girls like a pair of fairies.
This to the amusement of the girls, and the gross embarrassment of the two of us :-D

Pale blue is an officially approved colour for the bedroom, it encourages a feeling of calm

I remember one day in 4th form English someone had disrupted the class and was sent out of the room... and then the teacher said and if anyone else is thinking of behaving like that they can leave the room as well. So starting from the left that row all got up and walked out and then the next row etc until she had no one to teach. She did see the funny side of it.

Not so our science teacher in the third form, one of the girls leaned out of her desk to pick up something off the floor and the whole desk tipped over (the desks were single and combined with a lift up seat) .. we all laughed and she banned our class from attending sports day.

Well I'm thinking of having a sort of Wedgewood blue (slightly paler)
then a pale grey on the chimney breast.

the Victorian cast iron fireplace, which is now purely ornamental will be painted matt black.

I hope that meets with the approval of the sisterhood

:-(
