Is Budapest worth going for a week?

Thanks Sue.
I think recommendations from someone who has been (to where I want to visit )is quite important.Budapest is just one place where I know no-one who has been.

Been there a few times although we always stay in an apartment. Love it....
Check out online guides as to what to see and what is on during your planned week.

There are good tram and rail links but they take a bit of getting used to :-((
Beware TAXIS they can try to rip you off if you call for one in the street, always phone and get a fixed price beforehand.

You will be shocked at the exterior appearance of some buildings but once you get inside the architecture is fantastic. Grafitti really does rule in Budapest and it takes a while to try and ignore it.

I am thinking of going there for a week in september and would love any info anyone has,eg tips ,hotels etc.I have seen one hotel very central called K+KHotel Opera.Does anyone know this one?
