Oh Blue Moon, just read your reply to me ....... about the spectrum computer and putting data in and it not working......

......years ago I was working temporarily in an Agency office whilst waiting for a nice job to turn up on the books.........whilst there I had a lot of data to list......pages of the stuff, and it had to be accurate for input into a computer.......

When I had finished the client came along to check my work....... and rejected all of it, amid huge sighs......and 'oh nooooos'.......

I hadn't thought, and done my usual trick of using the 'l' instead of the number one........so I had spent hours and it was all made useless by that one thing........I have never forgotten the humiliation of it all, and I found another job pretty quickly after that......lol.....

I did a 3-lesson crash course in French before hitch-hiking around Europe when I was young but EVERYBODY was happy to speak English in order to help two young girls find their way around.

Went again thirty eight years later with OH - a middle-aged couple. NOBODY spoke English and we had to find our own way around.

I speak Welsh and English, my daughter (5) says she can speak Welsh, English and Orkshire....!!!!

I often use Greek words when speaking Spanish,Sometimes I forget english words,it can be a bit embarrasing,when English is your native language:-))lol
