Did he sing Hallelujah? I love Jeff Buckley singing this but LC wrote it and sings it beautifully.

Glad you had a wonderful time Rose - I knew you would:)

Here is the review in the Liverpool Post which sums it up very well

http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-life-features/liverpool-arts/2009/07/15/review-leonard-cohen-at-the-echo-arena-liverpool-92534-24156215/

I find it very difficult to say what I feel about music, it is too much a part of my soul .

It was an awesome performance by Mr Cohen and his phenemonenally talented group of musicians and singers. I laughed and cried, and cried and laughed about it all again . :))

He has charisma in bucketloads, a quality of stillness, a voice only improved by age, and...at age 74, ran on the stage, danced off the stage, knelt down many times and didn't need to be hoisted up like I would lol.
Performance lasted for 2 and a half hours,it really was a highlight of my life I think.

The Arena in Liverpool is great, wonderful staff, VIP lounge food and champagne ( felt like royalty lol). Great taxi driver, ditto staff at the premier Apts ( sooo smart and not dear!) and a wonderful view over Liverpool to the sea, and also the Liver Building. What a great city, with a great heart .

Can you tell I enjoyed myself? lol

PS Brilliant lighting and sound too.
