Hot matches should match the name and year of birth and I had one last week with a name which is not in my tree. GR does need to do something with the program to stop this from happening.

However, I can't see that it would be possible to match the Place of Birth as so many people enter this differently. Where you might have someone born in "Liverpool", another member may have that person born in "Lancashire" or "Lancs" or "West Derby" or even "England". How does the computer match these up? They would not be included unless they had "Liverpool", so you could miss out on having quite a lot not brought to your attention.

I have three Brown in my tree,. I wish I didnt lol.
I wish there was away to look at more than one match at a time. puts you off going through them.

I think GR need to up date the computer system for choosing the Hot Matches. I can see where Berona is coming from, re GR only matching up names and dates of birth. But after that, they fall down completely. How can someone born in Cambridgeshire be hot matched with someone, say in Lancs. or Somerset. A few weeks ago, I was hot matched for the same person, with someone in Australia. Now that is just riduculous. Whilst many have been successful with their hot matches, I bet there are more that have not.
