all the threads and discussion on here about airing family business or personal woes in public, especially on here of course, was anyone else brought up being told that there's always someone worse off than yourself?

I don't think I ever forget this for more than half an hour and it never fails to help my attitude. Even if it doesn't stop me feeling sorry for myself, it does make me shut up about it:)
