I know what you mean,Dawnie.
when I found a newspaper obituary for my grandfather, killed in WW1 nand read these words I almost broke down in tears in thepublic library--
killed in action 11apr 1917,aged 31
He sleeps beside his comrades
In a hallowed grave unknown,
But his name is writ in letters of love
On the hearts he has left at home.
A loving father,a faithful friend
One of the best that God could lend.

Deeply mourned by his sorrowing wife and three children.

I still tear up when I read that! maureen

when you find a bit of info about someone on your tree.

Just going through a newspaper archive and put in mums parents surnames and up came reference to wedding pic and report for my grandparents wedding and also the obit notice for mums granddad who died in WW1 and got a tingly feeling.

Just waiting to hear from mum if she has them or not (ive never seen them) and if not will order them as a thank you to mum and dad.
