I have 3 babies and with all there were deifferent procedures in place every time I was lucky mine were always early nosey...cant think where they get it from.. |

I think hospitals are fairly careful these days, but if your relative is worried perhaps she can have a word with her GP or midwife. |

vods my first was almost 3 weeks over.[i knew when he was concieved ...dallas if i remember right.]i had ceasarian cos he was in distress .2nd son 2 weeks ...3rd shoct out like an exocet missile.....lol.3 days late |

I moved house mid-way through my second pregnancy and had to find a new doctor. Not knowing the area, I went to the closest, who turned out to be "old fashioned". Baby was due Dec.30 and at my visit on Dec 2, he said the head was engaged and 'ready'. When I asked when to come again, he said "see you in hospital". I went home with the idea that it would all be over by Christmas - BUT - nothing happened until 11th January! Although twelve days overdue, it was a fairly quick and easy birth. (Easy in THEIR terms - I didn't think it was funny!). |

They should be able to tell the condition of the placenta from an ultrasound. |
