Try a search to see if the member has got an Elizabeth Smith b 1858. It is possible they have but have recently uploaded a new gedcom which causes the sort of problem you describe.

Even if they have, no guarantee of a match as the pob isn't checked......!

I've just finished wading through four pages of the damn things. The problem is that I delete all the "not" ones and leave the maybe's. But by the time I've done this I can't be a***d to send messages to the maybes cos I need a break from it. I go away, forget to go back and end up returning to them when I get my next hotmatch notification!

Just looked in and found someone who has 6 matches with me. Well thats incredible. Whats even more amazing is the quality of the matches. Here they are;

Joe Acord b.1916 matches My Elizabeth Smith born 1858 Glasgow

Mary Miller b.1852 matches My Elizabeth Smith born 1858 Glasgow

Cassandra Woodrum b.1867 matches My Elizabeth Smith born 1858 Glasgow

Mary Burt b.1872 matches My Elizabeth Smith born 1858 Glasgow

Louisa Nye b.1864 matches My Elizabeth Smith born 1858 Glasgow

and finally

Mary Sopwith b.1834 matches My Elizabeth Smith born 1858 Glasgow

I can only assume that the match must be that they are all female. I look forward to my next batch of Hot matches when, no doubt, I will be matched with 50% of the World population!
