Mmmmm I knew there was a good reason I have never ever watched it.

To answer your question Anne... I grew up on the Beatles, and in my innocence, loved their music... as I got older, I became incensed at the messages they were sending out. I have no time for the hypocrisy of the wealthy and those who are held up as icons, especially, when they encourage a lifestyle that is so fraught with danger.

I never took drugs... they fuelled their music using them... today's drug culture/violence surrounding that came in as a result of the foothold that people like Lennon and Yoko Ono... and the other Beatles and stars of the time, the ones who thought it was a hoot... well, the root of that evil was partly in the culture Lennon espoused.

And so I dislike the hypocrisy, the scant regard they paid to anyone, as long as they made their money and got their kicks.

So... I don't give them houseroom any more.

Daff I do agree so many singers have had the same pattern in their lifestyle and we supporting them has made them selfish and so wealthy. Shame because we did enjoy the music itself. Anne.

Yes, Anne.... but not so many had the impact the Beatles had... they were just something else, and had so much going for them.... they mock now, and say how they wrote some of their songs... considered by many to be their best... while out of this world on drugs etc....

They were at the forefront, and had so much power over the way youngsters of the era behaved...... they encouraged that generation to believe it was safe... but it wasn't, and we are seeing the results now, with increases in mental health problems related to even so-called soft drugs!

I really do hate drugs......

Daff I hate drugs myself but my soapbox is Alcohol its such a un-socialable thing it affects everyone just like drugs, but its not controlled enough I dont smoke but that seems to be more controlled than booze.
