I THINK I'VE FOUND A RELATIVE OF MINE THROUGH GENES REUNITED AND THE ELECTROL ROLE, I HAVE THE NAME AND ADDRESS AND EVERY SEARCH I'VE DONE MATCHES. SO WHY DON'T I WRITE A LETTER. COULD I BE OPENING A CAN OF WORMS. OR COULD I BE IGNORED. WHAT SHOULD I DO?. I HAVE ONE PICTURE THAT PROVES THIS PERSON IS CONNECTED TO ME. I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THIS PERSON FOR AGES, AND SENT MESSAGES TO THIER RELATIVES THROUGH GENES REUNITED AND GOT ONE REPLY FROM A WONDERFUL PERSON WHO ANSWERD MANY QUESTIONS. BUT IS NOT RELATED TO ME. I THINK I'M ACTUALLY QUITE SCARED OF WRITTING, OF BEING THE ONE RESPONSABLE IN BRINGING TWO PEOPLE TOGETHER WHO HAVE NEVER MET. ON MY SIDE IT'S ALL SYSTEMS GO BUT ON THE OTHER IT COULD BE DENIAL AND MAYBE HURT. WHAT DO I DO. DO I WRITE THE LETTER, AHHHH. I THINK I NEED HELP AND GUIDENCE. IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE, SEE, IT'S SENDING ME POTTY. PLEASE HELP.(:

I also found a relative through genes reunited and I contacted them and everything went great, and now we are all good friends and its as if we always knew each other, but it is very scary to make the first step and actually make contact

hi everyone is scared of rejection but if you dont get in touch you will always be wondering at least you will know then one way or another

I would write the letter, and then it's up to them what happens next.

Hi Marie

Reading what you have said, all the time and effort you have made to try and find this person. I think you should send them a letter, Ok like you said you could be Ignored or open a can of worms but that is a chance you will have to take, otherwise you are just going to sit and wonder.

On the other hand this person could be thinking the same as you wondering what happend to your family. Take the risk you have nothing to loose, apart from disapointment. But atleast you can say that you made the effort. Life is to short and the older you get the more you realise it
